Description: From France, an original commemorative bronze medal, signed by the artist, Lisbeth Delisle-Mollien (b.1935). The front is a portrait of Georges Boillot (1885-1916), French Grand Prix motor racing driver and World War I fighter pilot. He had a brief but successful racing career, until as a member of the French Air Force, his plane was shot down over Verdun in 1916. The reverse shows an image of him in his 1913 Peugeot.
