Description:  From France, an original commemorative bronze medal, signed by the artist, Lisbeth Delisle-Mollien (b.1935). The front is a portrait of Georges Boillot (1885-1916), French Grand Prix motor racing driver and World War I fighter pilot. He had a brief but successful racing career, until as a member of the French Air Force, his plane was shot down over Verdun in 1916. The reverse shows an image of him in his 1913 Peugeot. Please see both photos for the wonderful detail on both front and reverse.
